About scantrials

Scantrials is a tool to help you find relevant randomized controlled trials in oncology. We have used machine learning to annotate trials so that you can search them using parameters that other search engines don't offer, like the sample size (i.e. the number of people that were randomized) or the primary endpoint. In addition, you can rate trials and like or dislike other reviews.

How not to use this app

If you're searching for trials in a situation where you want to make sure that you don't miss any relevant trials, e.g. for a systematic review and/or meta-analysis, you should run a broader query using an interface like PubMed. Since not all annotations are perfect, there is a risk that you might miss a trial, e.g. if our models have not annotated all primary endpoints correctly.

Currently included trials

Randomized controlled oncology trials from BJM, JAMA, JAMA Oncology, JCO, Lancet, Lancet Oncology and the New England Journal of Medicine published between 2005 and 2023.
